Fjallraven

Two fjallraven kanken in one day, these takes me back to the early 80-s when everyone else had one of these as a school bag. And here they are again. Exactly the same, just about out of reach.

Book of the week.

I just can't help myself, messing around with the shabby chic table I found in Brick Lane, oh how it matches my book I am reading at the moment. I think it is a good idea to do book reviews here. Or at least mention a good book and say- Read it.

From Head to Mistle-toe

He was swinging in the rain
the traffic went ho ho
Leaves whispering to passers-by:
"it's the most wonderful time you know"

Guest Bloggers: Around the world in Cloddy Hops!

Dearly Beloved,
we are Elsa and Sigge.
We like cake, commitment, creamy kisses and crumbs.
Last year we took an early retirement after a long career in the knot-tying business and decided to treat ourselves to the honey-moon of our lives. We hope you will enjoy our adventures on urban safaries in faraway lands filled with fun and exotic afternoon jungle tea-parties.

xoxo

Clod-hopping is Yin and Yang.

Clod-hopping is, let me try, to explain.. a way of seeing thinking, believing outside the box. Not conforming to the mainstream, looking for alternatives, wanting a change, a struggle, a confusion, it is for people on the other side of the flip-coin. For every neat an polished line there is always going to be a wonky one. Yin and Yang. Restore the balance!

Look what can happen!

In the late 1800;s the villages in Sompio would receive visitors from Norway. A delivery of strong liquor once arrived at the same time from Kola. The men drank for several days on end. Some would leave, and others would appear to join the drinking party. A group of men bought a large rowboat, they meant to got to the dance at Luironkyla. Nearly all were stone drunk and when the boat turned over, all were drowned.

Antidote to shabby chic. Here at Clod-hopping we aim to share everyday stories that interest us, it may be ugly things, funny things sad things but never fashion and stuff like that- Because we don't like it. We like muddy boots, patterns in the asphalt and things that make us laugh to tears, or feel sad and confused. We will share blackness and laughters and ugly things with you here-You have come to the right place! Welcome to Clod-hopping!
